Being hesitant to read TSOA seems to be a reoccurring thing since I was severely on the fence about reading that book bc of how tumblr was raving about this a few years ago (and I cautiously approach many things tumblr raves about bc of this weird hive mind it gets about the big popular thing of the month) before deciding to buy it and read it for myself. While a very good book, I would definitely not go near to anyone who only sees it as an “uwu soft gay boys” book bc that’s not the point? Especially in regards to the war and fate thing that happens through out with the characters that adds to the whole tragedy at the end of the book bc it is a Greek tragedy, not a fluff/comfort fic
