    no i think it takes a level of selfishness to love in the first place.. to want the best you have to first know what the best is and to love is to want the best for someone else so how else are you supposed to determine that if you don’t at least want it a little for yourself. i think love without selfishness is more blind devotion than anything else

    If you think you’re too selfish to love then you’re not. To be harmfully selfish (besides what op was saying which is cool) you really don’t think of others and you don’t worry about it, you just take take take without a care in the world bc you’re getting what you want and who cares about the other person they don’t matter. The fact that you’re concerned means that you do actually care.
