i will be completely honest with you i did not read it i just absorb what they say in class and bounce off that BUT in the little prep ive done so far for my paper I think it’s interesting how 1) hamlet killed more people than anyone else in the play 2) hamlet acts like a man baby but is literally a middle aged 30 year old man 3) the relationship between verse changes + scene changes 4) the self referentiality with the soliloquies, the play within a play, etc. im going to be taking the easy way out for my paper and write abt misogyny in hamlet’s character specifically focusing on the weird pseudo ownership he feels he has over ophelia and im planning to use the scene where he and the other guy throw themselves into her grave and get in a fight over who’s grieving more when theyre literally not grieving her at all but grieving their relationship to her in the eyes of other men. anyway. i dont have much more to say i didnt even read the sparknotes
