i think if rick had leaned more into Annabeth from Virginia people would have seen her treatment of Tyson as a racial allegory, but because there was a lot of emphasis on California for her i think a lot of people were like "oh she's from california she can't be racist" even if that's not how that works at all obviously
I do not see that at all but then again I’m not white so maybe that is how their brains work
